MORE TORONTO VIDEO ROUND-UP PART 3 – TONA AND KARDINAL OFFISHALL

Normally on Wednesday’s I do a video spotlight on one artist. This week I’m doing all Toronto video round-up leading up to this Friday’s More Toronto party, so I decided to spotlight two artists. First one doesn’t need much introduction in Toronto, it’s Kardinal Offishall. I’ve been a Kardi fan from the time I saw “On Wit Da Show”. Kardi is one of Toronto’s hip hop ambassadors that has always put it down for the city. The second is none other than Tona, Friday’s More party is also the release party for his highly anticipated new mixtape Reform School. I’ve known Tona for years and he is one of Toronto’s greats. Check out some of my favorite videos from two of Toronto’s Finest.

TUESDAY MIXTAPE ROUND UP: DJ MENSA & DJ ROYALE, BIG JACKS AND LEO37

The Round-Up is back, I really shouldn’t call it a mixtape round-up anymore because it isn’t all mixtapes. Either way it’s some good music for you to bump this week. Big Jacks finally released his Daylight mix which you can hear anytime you check out an Aritzia store across North America. Now you can take the mix with you anywhere. Now if you have plans to party this weekend and you need that perfect mix to get you in the mood, I suggest downloading DJ Royale and DJ Mensa’s Steppin Out Vol 2. It’s packed with classic R&B hits and remixes. Honestly you can just throw this on and stay in and party. Finally my good friend Leo37 dropped his new EP Fanfare.

BIG JACKS – DAYLIGHT

LEO37 – FANFARE

DJ MENSA & DJ ROYALE – STEPPIN OUT VOL 2

GOT IT COVERED: XXL FRESHMEN 2012

XXL just revealed their freshmen for 2012. They are French Montana, Iggy Azalea, Kid Ink, Future, Roscoe Dash, Machine Gun Kelly, Danny Brown, Don Trip, Hopsin, and Macklemore. I gotta say it’s a very diverse list of MCs I’m not familiar with half of the list but I’ll check for all of them.

What do you think of the Freshmen class? Anyone missing?
